Jeter Player Privacy Policy

Jeter Player (hereinafter "the App") values your personal information and has established the following privacy policy in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

1. Personal Information Collected

The App may collect the following information to provide its services.

• Device information: Advertising identifier, device model, and OS version (for advertising services)
• Media file metadata: Video and photo metadata (file name, duration, resolution, path) read from device storage for library display and playback purposes
• Biometric data: Fingerprint or face authentication data used for the folder lock feature (processed entirely on-device via Android Keystore and never transmitted externally)

Media files such as videos and photos are accessed read-only from your device storage. The App does not upload or transmit your media files to any external server.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

• Video and photo playback: Provides media playback including playlists, continue watching, and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode.
• Media organization: Manages your video library, photo gallery, photo albums, and media cleanup features.
• Folder lock: Uses biometric authentication to protect private media in a locked folder.
• Advertising: Displays personalized ads through Google AdMob.
• App improvement: May collect anonymized usage data to analyze crashes and improve service stability.

3. Retention Period

• Media metadata: Stored in a local database on your device and deleted when the App is uninstalled.
• Biometric data: Managed by the Android Keystore system and never leaves your device. Removed when the App is uninstalled or when you disable the folder lock feature.
• Advertising data: Subject to Google's privacy policy.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not share your personal information with third parties in principle. However, the following exceptions apply:

• When you have given prior consent
• When required by law
• Limited information may be shared with Google AdMob for advertising services.

5. App Permissions

The App uses the following permissions:

• Media access (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO): To browse and play videos, photos, and audio files on your device [Required]
• Internet (INTERNET): For displaying ads and crash reporting [Required]
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): For playback status and app update notifications [Optional]
• Biometric (USE_BIOMETRIC): For folder lock authentication via fingerprint or face recognition [Optional]
• Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): To maintain media playback and Picture-in-Picture mode [Required]

Optional permissions are requested only when the corresponding feature is used. You can use the basic features of the App without granting them.

6. Security Measures

The App implements the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

• All local data is encrypted and stored in the device's internal storage.
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) are used for network communications.
• Biometric authentication data is securely managed through the Android Keystore system and never leaves your device.
