Klave Terms of Service

Welcome to Klave (hereinafter "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Service Overview

Klave is a markdown editor that lets you create and edit notes stored in a folder you choose on your device or in your Dropbox account. The App is offline-first; an internet connection is only required for Dropbox sync.

2. User Accounts

• Klave does not require an account. Your notes are stored locally by default.
• You may optionally connect a Dropbox account to access your notes from another device.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of any third-party account you connect.

3. User Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create within the App.
• Notes are stored on your device and (if you choose to connect Dropbox) in your Dropbox account.
• You are solely responsible for backing up your data.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App without authorization.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and features (excluding user-created content), is the intellectual property of the Klave development team. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Klave development team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including data loss.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be announced within the App.
