OmniWake Privacy Policy

OmniWake (hereinafter "the App") values your personal information and has established the following privacy policy in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

1. Personal Information Collected

The App may collect the following information to provide its services.

• Alarm settings: All alarm data (schedules, labels, sounds, and settings) is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any external server.
• Google account email: Optionally collected when you sign in with Google to enable subscription sync across devices.
• Advertising ID: Used by Google AdMob to display personalized ads (free tier only).
• Audio recordings: Audio captured when you use the "record alarm sound" feature is stored locally on your device only.
• Device information: Device model and OS version may be collected for crash reporting and service improvement.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

• Alarm functionality: Alarm data is used solely to schedule and trigger alarms on your device.
• Subscription sync: Your Google account email is used to verify and synchronize your Pro subscription status across devices.
• Advertising: Displays personalized ads through Google AdMob for users on the free tier.
• App improvement: Anonymized crash data and usage statistics may be collected to improve service stability.

3. Retention Period

• Alarm data: Stored on-device only. Deleted when you remove alarms or uninstall the App.
• Audio recordings: Stored on-device only. Deleted when you remove the associated alarm sound or uninstall the App.
• Subscription data: Retained as long as necessary to verify your subscription status.
• Advertising data: Subject to Google's privacy policy.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not share your personal information with third parties in principle. However, the following exceptions apply:

• When you have given prior consent.
• When required by law.
• Limited information (advertising ID, device info) may be shared with Google AdMob for advertising services.
• Your Google account email may be shared with our subscription verification service (AWS) to confirm Pro status.

5. App Permissions

The App uses the following permissions:

• Schedule exact alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To fire alarms at the precise time you set [Required]
• Set alarm (SET_ALARM): To create and manage alarms on your device [Required]
• Internet (INTERNET): For displaying ads and subscription verification [Required]
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): To restore your alarms automatically after a device reboot [Required]
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): For alarm notifications and reminders [Optional]
• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): For recording custom alarm sounds [Optional]
• Battery optimization exemption (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): For reliable alarm delivery on devices with aggressive battery management [Optional]

Optional permissions are requested only when the corresponding feature is used. You can use the basic features of the App without granting them.

6. Data Storage and Security

The App implements the following measures to ensure the safety of your information:

• All alarm data is stored in the device's internal storage and is not synced to any cloud service automatically.
• Backup and restore of alarm data is user-initiated only.
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) are used for all network communications.
