Delete your Andante Cloud account and data
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Andante Cloud account — the optional sign-in used for cloud sync in Andante, the task app published by Velocity Craft — and the data stored with it.
Andante itself needs no account. If you never signed in to Andante Cloud, there is no account to delete, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your phone.
Delete in the app
- Open Andante and tap the gear icon at the top of the screen to open Settings.
- In Cloud sync, tap Delete cloud data and account.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
Your phone needs an internet connection, and Andante Cloud must still be signed in on it. If the app says Couldn't delete cloud data, nothing was removed — try again. If it says Couldn't finish deleting your cloud account, part of the deletion has already happened — try again until it completes, or email us. Signing out is not the same as deleting: it only removes the sign-in from that phone and leaves your cloud data in place.
If you have signed out, sign in again with the same Google or Apple account and delete from there. Use email instead (below) if the app no longer offers a way to sign in. If your account is no longer enabled for cloud sync, the app can still delete the account but can no longer reach its synced data, so write to us first and we will delete both.
Request deletion without the app
- Email velocitycraft.app+support+andante@gmail.com from the email address of the Google or Apple account you used to sign in.
- Use the subject line "Delete my Andante Cloud account". Tell us whether you signed in with Google or with Apple. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, include the relay address Apple created (shown in Andante's Settings and in your Apple ID settings).
- We verify the request against your account, reply to confirm, and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying it.
- To delete only your synced data and keep the account, say so in your email.

What is deleted
- Your account record — your email address, the identifier Google or Apple uses for your account, the sign-in method, and the account identifiers Amazon Cognito assigned.
- Your synced data — the copy of your tasks, task notes, lists, folders, tags, contexts, checklists, and routines stored in Andante Cloud. When you delete in the app, no device can reach it from that moment.
- The deleted copy and earlier versions of that data, kept for recovery, are permanently deleted automatically within about 30 days (the automatic deletion can take a few extra days).
What is kept, and for how long
- Data on your devices stays. Delete it in the app, or uninstall Andante. Your other devices stop syncing.
- A deletion marker holding only the time of deletion — no personal information — so your other devices know the account is gone. It is kept with no set deletion date.
- A random storage identifier with no personal information, which can no longer be signed in to. It is kept with no set deletion date.
- Crash reports and usage statistics are not linked to your Andante Cloud account and are not part of this deletion. Firebase deletes crash reports after 90 days, and event-level usage data is kept for no more than 14 months.
- An Android backup of the app in your Google account is managed in Google's backup settings, not by us.
